Creating Collages: A Workshop for Play featuring Alysha Rocca!

Youngplace invites you for a very special workshop featuring artist Alysha Rocca!

This workshop will help artists gain a better understanding of the elements and principles of art and design to create their own collage artwork. The workshop includes a creation station of magazines, paper, and craft bits to inspire youth in making collage postcards. The workshop will have a focus on what makes a work of art successful – the importance of colour coordinating, what shapes and pieces work well together, and why that’s important.

Note: All materials and supplies included.

About the artist: Alysha Rocca is an upcoming artist, who studied in Toronto at OCAD University, earning a BFA in Drawing and Painting. Her creative practice involves an emphasis on textiles and she aims to be a sustainable artist by using recycled materials or found objects. Alysha is always looking for ways to give back to her community and began an initiative called Create Destroy Studio. To learn more about Alysha and her start-up, visit her website at oushiesart.com & createdestroystudio.com.
